Summary

 

An Intern will participate in various aspects of their assigned department. The internship will provide an opportunity for career exploration, development, and learning new skills. Interns will be able to expand their transferable skills and apply their theoretical knowledge in the working world. In addition – underscoring our core value of building relationships – they will have opportunities to develop professional and personal connections. 

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Gain understanding the overall concept of the company, including the brand, customer, product goals, and other aspects of services provided
  • Propose ideas and solutions to grow and improve efficiencies in the assigned area of business
  • Accept designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present a final project during the internship
  • Engage with customers or clients and provide service and/or sales support
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

 

  • Ability to prioritize, organize, problem solve, meet deadlines and goals
  • Ability to communicate effectively and provide follow-up
  • Capable of working in a team-oriented in office environment that is fair, open and honest
  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build strong partnerships with all internal customers, both locally and in our corporate locations (in-office and virtually)
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and personal credibility
  • Requires proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Must be enrolled in a local 2 or 4-year post-secondary accredited institution as a rising sophomore, junior or senior
  • 0 or higher GPA
  • Applicable skills, background and/or education must align with eligible department(s)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week (four (4) in-office workdays per week with the option to work remote on the 5th day)
